GUIDE - HOW TO USE SODA ASH
Soda ash is derived from the soda, but has a more alkaline pH (pH 11.6). Most often it is used to increase the efficiency of washing by softening water. It effectively removes fat or alcohol stains.
WASHING To soften water, add one tablespoon of soda ash to your regular washing powder.
REMOVING STAINS (fat, oil, lipstkick, alcohol) Prepare a thick paste of soda ash and water, spread it on a dirty surface. Leave to dry and then rinse.
DEPOSITS OF SOOT dissolve two tablespoons of soda ash in a glass of warm water.
REMOVING MOLD soda ash effectively kills mold, both on the surfaces in the bathroom, and wooden. Prepare a water solution (2 tbs of soda per one cup of warm water) and spray it over mouldy surface. If mould is very strong, prepare paste and cover mould with it, then scrub.
BURNT CAST IRON PANS pour into the pan at least 5 tablespoons of soda ash and fill with hot water (so that it covers all burns). Leave it on overnight and then wash thoroughly.
Using soda ash, always wear gloves and never let any of the substance get into eyes or swallowed.
If skin irritation persists, call your doctor. In case of swallowing - do not provoke vomiting, give plenty of water to drink, immediately contact your doctor. In the case of the substance getting into the eye, rinse carefully for several minutes. If irritation persists, see a doctor.
