Newborn diaper cover with double gussets, made in Poland
The newborn diaper cover is a lightweight, waterproof layer designed to protect your baby’s clothes while keeping the absorbent insert securely in place. With adjustable snaps and soft materials, it fits comfortably from the very first days.
1. What is the purpose of the newborn diaper cover? The cover keeps moisture inside the diaper and secures the absorbent insert in place. It serves as the outer layer of a reusable diaper system — you change only the insert, while the cover usually doesn’t require washing after each use.
2. What materials are used and how do they affect comfort? It is made from soft, Polish-made PUL — a waterproof knit laminated on the inside. The inner flaps combine PUL (to prevent leaks) with breathable coolmax that feels gentle against the skin. All materials and dyes are safety-certified.
3. How does the double-leg-elastic construction work? Double elastics fit snugly around the baby’s legs to minimize leaks. Additional elastic on the tummy and back keeps the cover in place and prevents the insert from shifting.
4. What size range does the cover fit and how is it adjusted? Designed for newborns weighing 3–7 kg, the cover can be adjusted using the front snaps, allowing precise control of the fit and length.
5. Which inserts work best with this cover? You can use small absorbent inserts or a folded muslin cloth (recommended size 60×80 cm or smaller). For more absorbency, two inserts can be used at once — the inner flaps will keep them stable.
6. How does the cover perform in everyday use? It dries quickly, fits securely and prevents moisture from escaping. It usually doesn’t need washing after each change — in most cases, replacing the insert and airing out the cover is enough.
7. How should the cover be washed and maintained? It can be washed at temperatures up to 60°C. Following the detailed care instructions provided with the product helps maintain the PUL’s waterproof properties and elasticity.

It’s often said that reusable diapers grow with the child. What does that mean?
A reusable diaper has two types of adjustments:
Width adjustment – using snaps or hook-and-loop fasteners, which is used to properly fit the diaper around the waist. We adjust it every time we put the diaper on the child.
Length adjustment – we adjust it according to the child’s weight/height. For smaller babies, we fasten all the snaps for length, and as the child grows, we unfasten the snaps, leaving 1 or 2 rows open. This way, we can lengthen and widen the diaper to fit the growing child.
