Cloth diapers – are they worth buying?

Terry Cloth diapers, or muslin diapers, are one of those newborn items that people like and use for almost everything. Or not. Of course, every mother has her own preferences. Nevertheless, a muslin diaper, an ordinary muslin cloth, offers many different possibilities. We'll reveal the answer to the question in the title right now: yes, it's worth buying them. Preferably several or even a dozen or so.
Terry Cloth diapers are useful for many things related to baby care. Really. Before a baby arrives in the family, we don't realize how many baby-related activities we perform. And in this case, a muslin diaper comes in very handy.
Terry Cloth diapers – are they worth buying?
Yes, because we will use them:
- when changing diapers,
- when washing,
- when feeding,
- as a cover,
- as a pad, e.g. at the doctor's,
- they can be used as an insert for reusable diapers,
- as a bib,
- for many other activities.
Terry Cloth diapers – definite advantages.
Cloth diapers are made entirely of natural cotton. They can be washed at very high temperatures – i.e., they can be boiled and safely ironed. They dry very quickly. Plus, they're cheap.
Terry Cloth diapers – what are they useful for?
1. Terry Cloth diapers can be used to protect adult clothing during burping.
2. Terry Cloths serve as handy wipes used when feeding a baby: to wipe away spilled milk or absorb milk squirting from the breast.
3. Terry Cloth diapers can be used as a cloth under a newborn's face while they sleep, and in hot weather, you can cover your baby with just a diaper to protect them without overheating them.
4. The diapers can be used during diaper changes: both to place on the changing table and to “catch” pee fountains (parents of boys know what this is about, or will soon find out).
5. A cloth will also come in handy at the doctor's, for example, to place on the scales for weighing the baby, or in the place where we undress the baby.
Terry Cloth diapers are a great absorbent insert used with reusable diapers. If we use a cloth as an absorbent insert, we need something like pants for cloth diapers. These “pants” are actually wraps, i.e., a layer of waterproof material – properly sewn and prepared to be fastened on the child. Modern “pants” for terry cloth diapers, i.e. the aforementioned covers, are safe for the child's skin – they allow water vapor to pass through, allow the skin to breathe normally, and do not cause diaper rash.
Terry Cloth diapers – are they worth buying? Definitely yes.
