Swimming Diaper – Which One to Choose?

Swimming Diaper – Which One to Choose?
For swimming diapers, pocket diapers and PUL wraps work really well. We demonstrated this in our video.
Both wraps and pocket diapers have well-fitted elastic bands on the back and thighs that keep any mess in place. The PUL fabric is smooth and works well in the pool.
Why Choose a Pocket Diaper Over a PUL Wrap for Swimming?
-
A pocket diaper has snaps for length adjustment covered, so they don't come into direct contact with the baby's skin.
-
The material used in the pocket diaper, like microfleece, is much softer on the baby's skin than the laminate that covers the inner part of the PUL wrap.
-
Of course, the wrap also works fine, but the pocket diaper is more comfortable for the baby at the pool.
Why Use Reusable Swimming Diapers?
-
Eco-friendliness – This helps reduce waste.
-
Baby's comfort – A reusable diaper is far more comfortable than a disposable one, which can press against the body with all its bulk and cause chafing.
-
Cost savings – You only need one diaper, as it has a wide range of adjustments. It can even fit a 5-year-old.
How to Use a Swimming Diaper?
At the pool, it’s mandatory to use a diaper without an absorbent insert. The insert isn’t needed because it would soak up water and weigh down the little swimmer. Disposable swimming diapers also don’t have absorbent inserts.
The diaper should be properly adjusted – shorten it using the snaps to adjust the length and fasten it so that the elastic bands fit snugly around the body, both at the thighs and waist.
After use, the wet diaper can be placed in a waterproof PUL bag, which can later be washed along with the diaper. If you also want to fit a wet towel into the bag, you can choose a larger PUL bag.
The diaper should be washed with towels at 60°C.
